It’s Friday at last and we can finally unwind and forget about work for a couple of days. I don’t normally post a blog on a Friday but my goal from now on is to try and publish a blog post twice a week. I really enjoy doing my blog and want to thank anyone who has been reading it so far.
Anyway, on to the good stuff! I have loads of beauty/make up products that I use on a daily basis but there are only a select few that I would class as my favourites. Recently, I have been dabbling in new make up as I have oily skin and most of the time it is really difficult to find products that cater to my skin type. Not every item mentioned in this post is in relation to my oily skin but I will be happy to post another blog on hints and tips for oily skin if you would like to read about this. Anyway, enough of the small chat. Let’s get straight to it.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel.
It took me a long time to find a moisturiser that was right for me. I listened to all the experts telling me to use several different moisturisers until I came across this little gem. For years I didn’t use a moisturiser for fear that it would make my skin more oily but this is more of a gel than a normal cream and works amazingly at hydrating the skin without causing my skin to become more oily. I apply this twice daily and haven’t had a single breakout like I did with other products. I probably wouldnt’ recommend it for dry skin but it is perfect for oily acne prone skin.
Bare Minerals Matte Powder Foundation – Medium Beige
I hear a lot of mixed reviews about Bare Minerals and compared to other foundations, it probably doesn’t give you that full coverage that you sometimes need. I personally love it for the day time and wearing it to work. Because it is powder based, it is not too heavy on the skin and I have noticed an improvement with my skin and I don’t have as many spots. I probably wouldn’t wear it for a night out but I am all for wearing it during the day.
Nivea Men Post Shaving Balm – Sensitive Skin
This might seem very random but this shaving balm is the perfect primer. People like Kylie Jenner are known for using this exact same product for priming their face. The ingredients used in this rival some of the most expensive primers that are currently on the market. I would recommend using this primer for a heavy make up look.
L.A Girl Pro Conceal – Toast
This little bargain is ideal for contouring. Because the tube is so small it can get in to those areas that a normal make up brush can’t. Not to mention, it lasts all day long and costs under £5!!!!
MAC Matte Taupe
MAC Lipsticks are worth every penny. I wear this Lipstick everyday and I have had it for a year and a half. They last for a while and It is such a neutral colour that it can also be used to mix with other colours.
I hope you enjoyed my Friday Favourites. Please don’t forget to like and subscribe!
